Met Gala Beauty Was All About Goth Glam and Ethereal Fairy Shimmer
You can thank celebrity hairstylist Justine Marjan, who used Covet & Mane hair extensions and GHD hair tools, for Ashley Graham’s cool, edgy Met Gala look. “Updos are so much easier to create when the hair has some texture to support the style,” writes Marjan on Instagram.

Standout Styles from the 2024 Met Gala
Complementing her Ludovic de Saint Sernin gown, celebrity hairstylist Justine Marjan created Ashley Graham’s show-stopping pixie fringe and updo utilizing The Coveted Tape extensions by Covet & Mane®. The ability to use tape in extensions for this look gave Graham the ability to make a statement and test out fringe without a full commitment.

For Graham’s hair, hair stylist Justine Marjan created a “dark fairytale”–inspired look using TRESemmé, GHD, Covet & Mane, and Nutrafol. “We were inspired by the ‘garden of time’ story from the 1960’s and wanted to create a hair look that felt like a dark fairytale,” Marjan says. “Ultimately, we decided to give Ashley a pixie bang and twisted updo.”
Met Gala’s Best Hair 2024: Zendaya, Gwendoline Christie, and More
The model and Vogue livestream host wore Hepburn bangs and an architectural updo with her vampy black gown. Hairstylist Justine Marjan used Tresemmé, GHD, Covet & Mane, and Nutrafol.
Ashley Graham's rakish fringe nearly swept us away at the Met Gala 2024
While the lengths were piled up into a high mussy chignon – wrapped to look loosely like a rosebud at the back by her hair stylist, Justine Marjan, the front featured a new fringe, fashioned out of hair pieces from Covet & Mane. Justine cut the fringe into short baby bangs, then took what looks like a wide-tooth comb to the style to create jagged separation and gelled it into place.
